A country garden feature that we were asked to create amongst an existing woodland to the side of the main garden, we retained the larger shrubs, such as a philadelphus, azaleas, and viburnums.
The stumps, remnants of fallen trees on the property were placed as features of beds, outlined with fallen branches, and underplanted with a variety of ferns, and honeysuckles. An inherited table and chairs formed a focal point of the garden in a sitting circle, in which it is possible to sit in the autumn afternoon, and enjoy the golden hues of the setting sun.
