Japanese Style Courtyard

This small courtyard which could be accessed through French doors, was overlooked by neighbours from above, and an adjacent staircase. It was composed of elements of a Japanese style garden; a dry riverbed, standing stones, a bridge, a bench, a dark basalt water bowl and minimal planting including this firey acer.
